Electrical Maintenance

We can offer you a range of service options to suit whatever security systems you have in place. Our regular preventative inspections are backed-up with a prioritised rapid response service, dependant on your SLA (Service Level Agreement).

Why you need a Service and Maintenance Contract?

First and foremost you’ll want to make sure you provide safe and secure premises for your staff and visitors. You can only provide that with a well maintained system, and we can back that up with 24-hour emergency cover if needed.

More practically, your insurance company will usually require your security systems to be regularly maintained. You might find any claim invalid if you haven’t done so.

We can tailor your preventative maintenance contract to suit your needs whatever the size of your Intruder, CCTV, Access Control or Fire Alarm system.

Choose the right level of service

Comprehensive Maintenance contract. Ideal if you want to pay a fixed, regular amount, with no further costs over the life of the contract. It’s designed for complete protection of your security system.

Standard cover. This gives you inspection visits and access to our call out services, with parts and labour charged at our discounted contracted rate.

What is extra or not covered?

  • Faults due to misuse, accidental and deliberate damage, or caused by third parties e.g. line faults due to the actions of your telecoms provider
  • Consumable items, such as infra-red lamp bulbs or hard drives
  • Replacement of obsolete parts (usually applies only to parts over five years old)
  • Specialised access equipment, such as inspection platforms or scaffold towers
  • Labour costs outside normal working hours

Intruder Alarm system Preventative Maintenance

We’ll visit your premises every six months (Red Care monitored systems) and carry out the following:

  • Check the performance and functions of the control unit
  • Measure and test power on the sounders
  • Test Remote Signalling with our Alarm Receiving Centre
  • Test power supply units and battery condition and performance
  • Check the condition, connections, coverage and performance of detectors, equipment and fittings
  • Document the visit
  • Answer your queries and give advice on the system

Access Control System Preventative Maintenance

We’ll visit your premises every six or twelve months. On the initial visit we’ll make a comprehensive asset checklist of all equipment currently on site, which we can refer to thereafter.

After that, at every visit we will:

  • Check and clean door locking unit(s), readers and connections
  • Check the performance and functions of the control unit
  • Check software performance and functions (if applicable)
  • Carry out an operation performance and site assessment
  • Test power supply units and battery condition and performance
  • Check alarm inputs response and operation.
  • Document the visit
  • Answer your queries and give advice on the system

CCTV System Preventative Maintenance

We’ll visit your premises every six or twelve months. On the initial visit we’ll make a comprehensive asset checklist of all equipment currently on site, which we can refer to thereafter.

After that, at every visit we will:

  • Check the cameras’ coverage, movement, performance, focus and connections
  • Check recording device quality of playback and recorded images
  • Carry out an operation assessment of site and lighting
  • Test power supply units and battery condition and performance
  • Check alarm response and operation.
  • Document the visit
  • Answer your queries and give advice on the system
